blind
Blind means not being able to see with your eyes. Imagine your eyes are like windows to the world, and when someone is blind, those windows are covered, so they can’t see outside. It’s like trying to look through a window that is covered with a curtain. Even though you know there are things outside, you can’t see them.
Think of your eyes as a camera. When someone is blind, it’s like the camera doesn’t have film or a memory card, so it can’t capture any pictures. The world is still there, but the camera can’t show it to you.
Another way to think about it is like a game where you have to find something with your eyes closed. You can’t see where you’re going, so you have to rely on your other senses like touch, sound, and smell to figure out where things are. People who are blind are very good at using their other senses to understand the world around them. They might use their hands to read special raised dots called Braille, which helps them read with their fingers instead of their eyes.
