expose
When we talk about expose, it’s like when you take a blanket off a toy. Imagine you have a toy hidden under a blanket, and when you take the blanket away, the toy is revealed. That’s what it means to expose something — you show it so everyone can see it.
Another way to think about expose is like when you open a curtain to let the sunlight into your room. Before you open the curtain, the room might be dark. But once you pull it aside, the bright light comes in and brightens everything up. Exposing is like letting the light in so you can see clearly.
Think of a photograph. When you take a picture, the camera opens its little window to let light come in and capture the image. This is called exposing the film or sensor to light. Without this, you wouldn’t be able to see the picture. So, exposing is like allowing something to be seen or noticed.
Lastly, consider a book. When you open a book, you expose the pages and the story inside. If the book is closed, you can’t see the words or the pictures. By opening it, you are letting the story come out for you to read and enjoy.
