grind
Grind is like when you take a crayon and rub it really hard on a piece of paper until it gets smaller and smaller. Grinding makes the crayon change its shape and size, just like how people work very hard to change or achieve something important. It’s like when you have a big block of cheese and you use a grater to make it into tiny pieces. The cheese changes from one big piece to lots of little pieces because of the hard work you do with the grater.
Grind can also be like when you are learning to ride a bike. You might fall down and get up many times. Each time you try, you are grinding through the practice, making yourself better and better. Just like how you keep pedaling and balancing until you can ride smoothly, grinding is about doing something over and over to get really good at it.
Think of grinding like a squirrel gathering nuts. The squirrel works very hard every day, collecting one nut at a time. Over time, the squirrel has a big pile of nuts because it kept working hard and didn’t give up. Grinding is about being like that squirrel, working steadily to gather what you need or to reach your goal.
