ivory
Ivory is like the color of a cloud on a sunny day. It’s a soft, creamy white that feels gentle and warm, just like when you look up at the sky and see those fluffy clouds floating by. This color is special because it’s not too bright like snow, but more like a cozy, soft blanket.
Ivory is also like the inside of a seashell. When you find a shell at the beach and you peek inside, you see a smooth, shiny surface that is light and delicate. It’s a bit like a secret treasure hidden inside the shell, and it feels cool and nice to touch.
In nature, ivory comes from elephant tusks. These are like the strong, curved teeth that elephants have. People used to use ivory to make beautiful things like piano keys or little statues. But now, we try to protect elephants and not use their ivory, because elephants need their tusks to live happily in the wild. So, when we talk about ivory, we also think about caring for animals and keeping them safe.
