low
When we talk about low, think about a slide at the playground. The top of the slide is high, and the bottom where you land is low. So, when you start at the top and slide down, you move from high to low. It’s like going from the top of a mountain to the bottom. The bottom is low because it’s closer to the ground.
Another way to think about low is with a cup of water. If the cup is full, the water is high up near the top. But if you drink some, the water level goes down, making it low. So, low means there’s not much left or it’s near the bottom.
Imagine a music note. A high note sounds like a bird singing, while a low note sounds like a big drum. The low note is deep and closer to the ground in sound, just like how low things are closer to the ground in height.
Think of a tall building and a small house. The building is high because it has many floors, but the house is low because it’s short and closer to the ground.
