minority
When we talk about a minority, it’s like when you have a big bag of candies and most of them are red, but there are only a few blue ones. The blue candies are the minority because there are fewer of them compared to the red candies. It doesn’t mean the blue candies are less important; they just aren’t as many.
Think about a classroom where most of the kids like drawing, but only a few like singing. The kids who like singing are the minority because there aren’t as many of them as the ones who like drawing. But just like the blue candies, the singing kids are special and unique in their own way.
Now, if you imagine a big garden full of flowers, there are lots of sunflowers, but only a couple of roses. The roses are the minority in this garden. Even though there aren’t many roses, they can still be very beautiful and make the garden more colorful. So, being a minority means there are fewer of something, but it doesn’t mean they aren’t valuable or special.
