monopoly
Monopoly is like when you’re playing with a bunch of toys and one kid has all the blocks. If that kid has all the blocks, no one else can build anything. Everyone has to ask that kid if they can use a block. This means that kid has all the control over the blocks.
Think of it like a giant cookie jar. If one person has all the cookies, they get to decide who gets a cookie and how many cookies they can have. This person has all the power because they have all the cookies.
Imagine a big playground where one child owns all the swings. If you want to swing, you have to wait for that child to let you use one. This child can even say you have to give them something in return, like a toy or a snack. This is because they have a monopoly on swings.
In a monopoly, one person or company has all the resources or power, making it hard for others to join in or compete.
