Murder is when someone makes a very bad choice to hurt another person so much that they can’t get up again. It’s like if you had a toy and someone broke it on purpose, but instead of a toy, it’s a person, and they can’t be fixed.
Imagine if you and your friend were playing a game, and someone decided to stop the game by taking away all the pieces so no one could play anymore. Murder is when someone stops someone else from being able to play or live forever, and that’s not fair or nice.
Think of a storybook where a character is erased from the pages forever. Murder is when someone erases another person from the world, and it’s something very serious that makes people very sad.
When someone does this, they break a very important rule that says everyone should be safe and happy. Just like when you have rules at home or school to keep everyone safe, the world has rules, too, and murder is breaking one of the biggest rules of all.
