neglect
Neglect is like when you have a toy that you really like, but you leave it outside in the rain and forget about it. The toy feels sad because it isn’t being played with or taken care of, and it might even start to break or get rusty. When we neglect something, we don’t give it the attention or care it needs, and it can get hurt or not work as well as it should.
Imagine a plant that needs water and sunlight to grow. If you forget to water it or put it in a dark place, the plant might droop and lose its color. This is what happens when we neglect the plant. It needs our help to stay healthy, just like how we need hugs and love to feel happy.
Think about a friend who wants to play with you. If you always forget to invite them to play or don’t listen when they talk, they might feel lonely or sad. This is a bit like neglecting a friend. Friends need us to be there for them, just like we need them to be there for us. Being kind and paying attention helps everyone feel good.
