pitch
Pitch is like the voice of a sound. When you hear a bird chirping, it has a high pitch, like a tiny squeaky toy. A big dog barking has a low pitch, like a deep drum. So, pitch is how high or low a sound is.
Think of a ladder. The top of the ladder is a very high pitch, and the bottom is a very low pitch. When you climb up, the sound gets higher, and when you climb down, the sound gets lower.
Imagine a rainbow. The colors at the top, like blue and purple, are like high pitches. The colors at the bottom, like red and orange, are like low pitches.
Picture a seesaw. When one side goes up, the pitch goes up, and when it goes down, the pitch goes down.
Now, think of a piano. The keys on the right side make high-pitched sounds, like a bird singing, and the keys on the left make low-pitched sounds, like thunder.
Pitch helps us tell how different sounds are, just like how colors help us see different things.
