quota
Quota is like a cookie jar that has a certain number of cookies in it. When you have a quota, it means you can only take a certain number of cookies from the jar. If the jar has ten cookies and your quota is three, you can only take three cookies. Even if you want more, you have to wait until next time to get more cookies.
Think of a quota as a bedtime rule. If your bedtime is at 8 PM, you can only stay up until that time. The bedtime rule is like a quota for how long you can stay awake. If you want to stay up longer, you have to wait for a special occasion like a sleepover.
Imagine a quota as a coloring book with a limited number of pages. You can color a few pages each day, but once you reach your limit, you have to stop. This way, you still have pages left to color later. Quotas help us make sure we don’t use everything up too fast, just like saving cookies or staying up late only sometimes.
