shrink
Shrink is like when you have a big balloon, and you let some air out. The balloon gets smaller, right? That’s because it’s losing air, and it doesn’t take up as much space anymore. It’s still the same balloon, just not as big.
Think about when you have a sponge full of water. When you squeeze it, the sponge gets smaller because the water comes out. The sponge is still there, but it has changed size.
Imagine your favorite sweater. If it gets washed in hot water, it might get smaller. It’s still the same sweater, but it might feel tighter because it has shrunk.
Or picture a puddle after the rain. When the sun comes out and the water dries up, the puddle gets smaller and smaller until it disappears.
So, when something shrinks, it means it gets smaller in size, but it’s still the same thing, just like your balloon, sponge, sweater, or puddle.
