slippery
Slippery is like when you try to walk on a floor that is covered in soap and water. Your feet can’t hold on tight, and you might slide around. It’s like when you play on a slide at the playground. The slide is smooth and shiny, and you go down fast because there’s nothing to stop you. That’s what makes it slippery.
Imagine holding a bar of soap in the bath. When it’s wet, it can easily slip out of your hands because it’s hard to grip. Slippery things are hard to hold onto, just like that soap.
When it rains, the road can become slippery. Cars need to be careful because the wet road is like the slide or the soap. It makes it hard for the tires to grip the road, just like your shoes on the soapy floor.
Think of a banana peel. If you step on it, you might slip and fall because it’s slippery. The peel is smooth and doesn’t let your foot stick to the ground. That’s why we have to be careful with slippery things.
