vein
A vein is like a tiny road inside your body. Just like cars drive on roads to get from one place to another, blood travels through veins to move around your body. This blood carries important things like oxygen and nutrients, which are like little helpers that keep your body working well.
Think of a vein as a straw that you use to drink a milkshake. When you sip through the straw, the milkshake moves from the cup to your mouth. Similarly, veins help move blood back to your heart after it has delivered oxygen to your body.
Imagine a tree with lots of branches. The branches are like veins, spreading out to reach every part of the tree. In your body, veins spread out to reach every part, making sure each part gets what it needs to stay healthy.
Veins also have tiny doors called valves that open and close to keep the blood moving in the right direction, just like a one-way street sign that tells cars which way to go. These valves help the blood move smoothly back to the heart.
