weigh
Weighing is like trying to find out how heavy something is. Think of it like a seesaw in a playground. If you put a big rock on one side, it might go down. If you put something just as heavy on the other side, the seesaw will balance. This is how we measure how much something weighs.
Another way to think about weighing is like holding a bunch of balloons. If you have one balloon, it’s light and easy to hold. But if you have a lot of balloons, it starts to feel heavier in your hand. The more balloons you have, the “heavier” it feels. This is similar to weighing, where more weight means something is heavier.
Weighing can also be like having a bunch of toy blocks. If you stack a few blocks, it’s light and easy to carry. But if you stack a whole lot of blocks, it becomes harder to lift. The more blocks you have, the more it weighs. So, when we weigh things, we are figuring out how many ‘blocks’ or how much ‘heaviness’ something has.
