Withdraw means taking something out or away. Imagine you have a piggy bank full of coins. When you want to use some of those coins to buy candy, you open the piggy bank and take out the coins. This is called ‘withdraw’. You are taking the coins out of the bank.
Think of a turtle. When it feels shy or scared, it pulls its head and legs inside its shell. This action is like withdrawing. The turtle is taking its body parts away from the outside.
Picture a straw in a glass of juice. When you sip on the straw, you are pulling the juice up into your mouth. This is another way to think about withdrawing. You are taking the juice out of the glass.
Imagine a library book. When you borrow a book, you take it home to read. This act of taking the book from the library is another example of withdrawing. You are removing the book from its place on the shelf.
